The Brides in the Bath . . .

In June 2003 Yorkshire Television used Princess Street as a location for their production of 'The Brides in the Bath' starring Martin Kemp. The film is based on the true story based on the life of George Joseph Smith, a murdering bigamist whose villainous deeds took place between 1910 and 1915. Yorkshire Television closed the street for a day in order to dress the area back to around 1910. This is our photographic record of events.
